Neyland’s Big Upgrade Ahead of Season Opener | Tennessee Volunteers Football News

Tennessee football’s season opener is heating up—not just with the game, but with major stadium upgrades fans have been waiting for. A brand-new sound system, expanded concourses, and more standing room aim to fix long-standing issues and turn Neyland into a seamless fan experience. With a sellout expected against Furman on Sept. 5—and 28 straight sellouts now—the crowd’s energy will be electric. Coach Heupel’s team has a strong home record, especially in openers, making this a perfect showcase for the new digs. Consultants from Mercedes-Benz and Lambeau Field helped design the audio overhaul, proving even a century-old stadium can get a modern upgrade. Plus, a new Champions Corner plaza, revamped concessions, and smarter traffic flow round out the improvements—because great football deserves a great atmosphere.
