Welcome to episode #32. I recently found out that the NFL has a 5 year "Strategic Plan." Did you know that that the NFL had such a thing? I guess, from a business viewpoint, it is not surprising. Many businesses likely have a 5 year plan. When you go on a job interview, that is a question interviewers love to ask, "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" 

Pro athletes live a life of wealth and privilege. Their lives resemble the lives of Hollywood celebrities, politicians, and music stars. But my question is, "How grateful are they for their success?" If they are grateful, shouldn't that gratitude come across in the behavior/belief that athletes will do their "social preaching" off the field? 

As a sports fan, I simply want to watch the sport. As a viewer, I simply want to watch the TV show/movie. As a music fan, I simply want to hear a music performer perform. I am not paying money to support those people with an expectation that I want to know their political beliefs. And I believe that performers, pro athletes, celebrities should NOT expect that I want to know their views on politics or social issues. 

Did you know that there is something called the "Black National Anthem?" There is a song called, "Lift Every Voice And Sing." The USA having a black national anthem is news to me!! I thought that the "Star Spangled Banner" was our national anthem for all Americans. 

Have courage today, to pick one thing, and work on your dreams.
