NFL Wk 17 X-Mas: Cowboys vs Commanders; Lions vs Vikings; Broncos vs Chiefs

It's a Christmas Miracle! Santa has brought on 3 Christmas games for all of us good kids out there. Or is this the coal in our stockings? None of these games are top notch NFL action.The NFL triple header kicks off in Washington as the 6-8-1 Dallas Cowboys will visit the 4-11 Commanders.The Cowboys were officially eliminated from playoff contention last week but will be heavy favorites this week. That is because Washington will be starting its third string Quarterback after injuries to starter Jayden Daniels and back up Marcus Mariotta.After that game, the spotlight transitions to Minnesota, as the 8-7 Detroit Lions visit the 7-8 Vikings. The Lions are coming off of two straight tough defeats and their dreams of the playoff are unlikely, but not completely gone. Meanwhile Minnesota playoff hopes are long gone, and they, like Washington will be starting their third string quarterback due to injuries.And finally the Christmas nightcap will be played in Kansas City, as the 12-3 Denver Broncos visit the 6-9 Chiefs. The Broncos are position to be the #1 seed in the AFC if they can win their final two games. Meanwhile Kansas City demise may be the biggest shock of the NFL season. The Chiefs, just like the prior 2 underdogs will be lead by a 3rd string quarterback due to injuries.The HGF crew may not love the match up for X-Mas, but they always grateful for the gift of NFL action.
