A shield is a common equipment in warfare in guarding us against the arsenals of the enemy. Faith is a defensive shield for God's children. We do not face life because we have evidence that everything is okay. To the contrary, things change overnight and a promising dream comes crumbling down. We face each day by faith fully assured that all shall be well because our God is in control. Despite momentary darkness, we can be sure of better days ahead because our faith is not in the circumstances of life but in God who controls the circumstances and works all things for our good!
