NHL Conference Finals Preview

In the West, the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Colorado Avalanche face their toughest test yet against the Vegas Golden Knights after dominant series wins over Los Angeles and Minnesota. Vegas battled through two six-game series against Utah and Anaheim to reach the conference final. In the East, the Carolina Hurricanes and Montreal Canadiens arrive by opposite paths. Carolina swept Ottawa and Philadelphia to become the first team since 1987 to start the playoffs 8-0, while Montreal survived back-to-back seven-game series against Tampa Bay and Buffalo, capped by an overtime Game 7 win.
