尼希米记第一课：Neh 1:1 "The words of Nehemiah the son of Hacaliah. Now it happened in the month of Chislev, in the twentieth year, as I was in Susa the capital,"哈迦利亚的儿子尼希米的言语如下：亚达薛西王二十年，基斯流月，我在书珊城的宫中。Neh 1:2 "that Hanani, one of my brothers, came with certain men from Judah. And I asked them concerning the Jews who escaped, who had survived the exile, and concerning Jerusalem."那时，有我一个弟兄哈拿尼，同着几个人从犹大来。我问他们那些被掳归回剩下逃脱的犹大人，和耶路撒冷的光景。Neh 1:3 "And they said to me, "The remnant there in the province who had survived the exile is in great trouble and shame. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates are destroyed by fire."他们对我说：“那些被掳归回剩下的人，在犹大省遭大难，受凌辱；并且耶路撒冷的城墙拆毁，城门被火焚烧。”Neh 1:4 "As soon as I heard these words I sat down and wept and mourned for days, and I continued fasting and praying before the God of heaven."我听见这话，就坐下哭泣，悲哀几日。在天上的神面前禁食祈祷说：Neh 1:1 "The words of Nehemiah the son of Hacaliah.
