Neh 13:1 On that day they read from the Book of Moses in the hearing of the people. And in it was found written that no Ammonite or Moabite should ever enter the assembly of God,当日，人念摩西的律法书给百姓听，遇见书上写着说：“亚扪人和摩押人永不可入神的会，Neh 13:2 for they did not meet the people of Israel with bread and water, but hired Balaam against them to curse them--yet our God turned the curse into a blessing.因为他们没有拿食物和水来，迎接以色列人，且雇了巴兰咒诅他们；但我们的神使那咒诅变为祝福。”Neh 13:3 As soon as the people heard the law, they separated from Israel all those of foreign descent.以色列民听见这律法，就与一切闲杂人绝交。Neh 13:4 Now before this, Eliashib the priest, who was appointed over the chambers of the house of our God, and who was related to Tobiah,先是蒙派管理我们神殿中库房的祭司以利亚实，与多比雅结亲，Neh 13:5 prepared for Tobiah a large chamber where they had previously put the grain offering, the frankincense, the vessels, and the tithes of grain, wine, and oil, which were given by commandment to the Levites, singers, and gatekeepers, and the contributions for the priests.便为他预备一间大屋子，就是从前收存素祭、乳香、器皿，和照命令供给利未人、歌唱的、守门的、五谷、新酒，和油的十分之一，并归祭司举祭的屋子。
