Neh 13:19 "As soon as it began to grow dark at the gates of Jerusalem before the Sabbath, I commanded that the doors should be shut and gave orders that they should not be opened until after the Sabbath. And I stationed some of my servants at the gates, that no load might be brought in on the Sabbath day."在安息日的前一日，耶路撒冷城门有黑影的时候，我就吩咐人将门关锁，不过安息日不准开放。我又派我几个仆人管理城门，免得有人在安息日担什么担子进城。Neh 13:20 Then the merchants and sellers of all kinds of wares lodged outside Jerusalem once or twice.于是商人和贩卖各样货物的，一两次住宿在耶路撒冷城外。Neh 13:21 "But I warned them and said to them, "Why do you lodge outside the wall? If you do so again, I will lay hands on you." From that time on they did not come on the Sabbath."我就警戒他们说：“你们为何在城外住宿呢？若再这样，我必下手拿办你们。”从此以后，他们在安息日不再来了。Neh 13:22 "Then I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves and come and guard the gates, to keep the Sabbath day holy. Remember this also in my favor, O my God, and spare me according to the greatness of your steadfast love."我吩咐利未人洁净自己，来守城门，使安息日为圣。”我的​神啊！求你因这事记念我，照你的大慈爱怜恤我。”
