在日本，不僅是獨居老人，年輕人「孤獨死」的風險也大增。2018年至2020年的3年間，東京23個區，獨居且是異常死亡10幾歲至30幾歲的年輕人共1145人，剔除在工作職場上或路上死亡者，死在自己住家的「孤獨死」人數為742人，占比逾6成。最新統計是2024年1月至3月日本在自宅過世的獨居者達2萬1716人，其中65歲以上長者約1萬7000人，約占8成，以此數字單純推算，2024年「孤獨死」的長者上看約6萬8000人。 -- Hosting provided by SoundOn
