Nick Becker: Auckland FC CEO on the upcoming elimination final against Melbourne City

Auckland FC’s playoff fate has been sealed.   The side is looking to avoid second-season syndrome after a record-breaking entry into the A-League.  It comes down to a do-or-die elimination final against reigning champions Melbourne City, kicking off Saturday at Mt Smart Stadium.  CEO Nick Becker told Mike Hosking they have good form against the Australian team, but he doesn’t want to jinx anything.  He says it’s been a tougher season than the last, but these sorts of things build resilience within a side, and the players are in the right mindset.   LISTEN ABOVE  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
