Nick Hauger on qualifying for the marathon Olympic trials, running for NAZ Elite and more

from Running In Circles · host Zach Hamilton

Today I’m joined by Nick Hauger! Nick is a marathoner for Hoka’s NAZ Elite team and will be running in the U.S. Olympic marathon trials in Orlando, Florida on February 3rd. He has a personal best of 2:12:59 which he ran in his debut but since then he’s struggled with injuries and hasn’t been able to race too much. But he persevered through it and at the 2023 CIM marathon he ran 2:16:02 which will give him the opportunity to race at the trials. In this episode we discuss how he got through injury, his support system, the feeling when he crossed the line at CIM, and more.
