Nick Lawrence: Transgender advocate

Nick Lawrence is a remarkable human being. Dealing with gender dysphoria made life difficult enough, from refusal to wear girly clothes as a very young child to coming out as lesbian as a teenager, Nick was approaching 30 before he decided to take the plunge and take steps to transition. On top of that, based on his loneliness and lack of community connection and access to advice during this period Nick set up Transmen of WA. Now he spends more time on being available to trans people and their families than he does on his full time job.
