Nick Luck Daily Ep 1584 - Is accusation that RCA continually "stifle" change unfair?

Tom in for Nick and joined by broadcaster and journalist Rishi Persad. Rishi reflects on yesterday’s news that the Jockey Club are to resign from the RCA at the end of the year and we ask where this leave the RCA and its current members. Wetherby Chief Executive Jonjo Sanderson joins the debate to give his view and argues that the Association has been un fairly branded a blocker of change in recent times. With news that NYRA and Churchill Downs Inc are to launch a new 6 race, 5 month 3yo Thoroughbred Championship Series, we are joined by US racing expert James Willoughby. We assess where this leaves the Preakness, not included in the series, before James looks ahead to this weekend’s Whitney Stakes. We are joined by Tattersalls managing director Matt Prior with the October Book 1 Yearling catalogue being released today. We get the Timeform perspective from David Johnson and go around the bloodstock world with Weatherbys and to Charlie Rosier who, with his mother Julia, owned and bred last week's Vintage Stakes winner Dr Rascal.
