Rob and Michele Reiner were found dead from multiple stab wounds inside their Brentwood home on December 14, 2025. Their son Nick was arrested hours later and has been held without bail at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility ever since, charged with two counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances — making him eligible for the death penalty under California law. This week, the case was expected to take its next major step forward at a preliminary hearing.
