But one lost gospel has been called the 5th gospel because it was so popular and widespread throughout the Christian world. This gospel has had profound effects on Christian dogma, legend and thinking. In tonight's SE episode we look at the Gospel of Nicodemus and examine its influence, direct and indirect on our Christian traditions and discuss why it was ultimately booted from the Christian canon.
