The 4th Day of Creation, DE.

In tonight's DE episode, I step well out of my comfort zone and talk about the 4th day of creation when God created the stars, planets, sun and moon and states that they are for signs and appointed times. We deal with the possibilities of what that means. Was there a divine astrology that was placed in the skies as a message of the gospel in the stars? We will look at that tonight.

God's View of Money, Simon Magus and the Rich Lord Re-Release

A re-release of an earlier episode with out the annoying background music from before. One of the enduring controversies in Christianity is God’s attitude toward possessions and wealth in particular. Does God hate rich people? Some try to make that case, but what does the word of God say about people with money? Atheists say that the Bible is contradictory on money and wealth, but are they right? Some say God condemns the wealthy as being unable to get into heaven, but does he? Tonight we will examine the mystery of how God feels about money. We will look at three men with different relationships to money. One who was rich, one who would commit blasphemies to get money and fame and one who was a slave, but not in the way you might think. The myths and dogmas about money are many, but we will shatter many beliefs with what God himself says about that most controversial of gifts, riches. And what do we know of the redeemer himself? Was he rich or was he poor? Christian dogma will tell us Yeshua was a pauper, but the Bible hints that he may not have been as destitute as people believe. Could Yeshua have grown up rich? Tonight's SE episode will delve into these and other questions about the relationship between God and money.

Genesis 1:9-13 The Third Day DE

Tonight we delve into life and the third day of creation in this Deep End episode. We talk about evolution, DNA and the probability of life happening by random chance. It is delving into the third day of creation in a way that is sure to challenge many of your preconceived notions.

  10. 14

Genesis 1:6-8 The Second Day DE

In this Deep End episode, we examine what is probably the most difficult of the creation days to get through. It is difficult from an understanding the science standpoint as well as vocabulary. But understanding the second day has profound implications for our understanding of the universe and for understanding the fact that science and scripture actually go hand in hand.

  12. 12

    The Nephilim Part 3 SE

Tonight we look at the end of the reign of the Nephilim and discuss the flood of Noah and look at the ways the Nephilim returned. Brace yourself, the Bible does not say what most people think it says about the flood.

  13. 11

    The Nephilim Part 2 SE

Tonight we delve into the antediluvian period, and look at exactly what happened during the days of Noah and how the Nephilim came to be and what they did. We also examine who their fathers, the Grigori or Watchers were, and delve into the possibility of numerical patterns and what they may mean.

  14. 10

    The Nephilim Part 1 SE

Originally intended to be a two part series, this has now expanded into a three and possibly 4 part series on the Nephilim and their descendants, the Rephaim. Why do we need to know this? Yeshua suggests he will not return until it is as it was in the days of Noah, with the Nephilim wreaking havoc and Daniel also suggests these monstrous giants may return. Tonight we start setting up the history of how they came to be in this first part of this miniseries on the Nephilim and the vicious legacy they left to plague the children of Israel.

Nicodemus, Veronica, Longinus and the 5th Gospel SE

We are used to hearing about the 4 gospels, but at one time there were more than 4 with some being canonical in certain areas and with certain sects. But one lost gospel has been called the 5th gospel because it was so popular and widespread throughout the Christian world. This gospel has had profound effects on Christian dogma, legend and thinking. In tonight's SE episode we look at the Gospel of Nicodemus and examine its influence, direct and indirect on our Christian traditions and discuss why it was ultimately booted from the Christian canon.

Lot: Righteous, Unrighteous or Buffoon? SE

Lot, nephew of Abraham is a controversial figure in the Bible. On the one hand he is gifted lands by his uncle, is saved from certain death by God and becomes the father of at least two nations, but on the other hand he founds his nations through incest and his nations become accursed, Moab even being referred to as Gods washbasin. Yet, the line of Lot is integral to the story of the Bible, not just because the nations of Moab and Ammon were founded by Lot and become serious enemies of Abraham’s people, but because without Lot, King David would not have been, and the line of the Messiah would have been very different. Yes, the nation born of incest, Moab, gives rise to Ruth, who in the book of Ruth becomes a symbol of redemption for Lot’s line, a line that ultimately leads to Yeshua, the Messiah. So it bodes the question, who was Lot? What was he like? And why is he so controversial? This is an SE episode, but owing to the subject matter of Sodom and Gomorrah, is also PG - Parental Guidance Suggested.

  17. 7

Genesis Day One and the Gap Theory DE

In tonight's Deep End episode, we examine Genesis 1:2-5 and the first day of creation, examining the Hebrew vocabulary and the Gap Theory to gain insights into the origin of the Devil, and to answer some of the most puzzling questions. Was the universe created in 6 days that were 24 hour days? Or did God measure days before the creation of the Sun and stars in some other way? When did the Devil fall and what is he? Is he an Archangel, as is commonly assumed, or is he something else? And why do the days of the creation week only go from evening to morning? What about morning to evening? And we will also look at what God created that day, light, and its fundamental nature.

    Sarah's Murderous Rage SE

In tonight's SE episode we look at an incident that appears to have been altered in some texts of the Bible and delve into the reason why Sarah, the wife of Abraham may have wanted her husband to send his firstborn son and her mother into the desert to die. Sarah's murderous rage is one of those topics that most Preachers, Priests and Rabbis avoid like the plague, but will will look at the traditions and texts and confront the issue head on. Why does Sarah want to kill Ishmael? Was she a paranoid woman? Was she a violent irrational psychopath? Or was there a legitimate and justifiable reason for demanding that Hagar and Ishmael be banished into the desert to die? Warning, this will be a PG episode that deals with the issues of incest and sexual abuse. Music byAlexi Action from Pixabay

Mysteries of Moses Part 2 SE

Part 2 of the Mysteries of Moses where we examine the link between Moses and Elijah and explore why Michael the Angel argued with the Devil over the body of Moses.

Mysteries of Moses SE Part 1 Bridegroom of Blood

Tonight we focus on a couple of the mysteries surrounding the founder of the Jewish religion, Moshe or Moses. We look at who the Pharaoh of the Exodus might have been and we focus intently on the incident that is known as the Bridegroom of Blood, where some think God tries to kill Moshe. But does he? Or was God targeting one of Moshe's sons? We also look at the two wives of Moshe. This will be a two, maybe a three part episode looking at the mysteries surrounding Moses. Tonight's episode will be PG because the Bridegroom of Blood incident surrounds circumcision, and we will need to address that. We will do it cleanly, medically and respectfully, but bluntly, so fair warning. This is an SE episode, but it feels like a DE one, because the three verses that make up the Bridegroom of Blood incident are so vague and confusing, that many traditions and interpretations have been spawned by it, and it takes a lot to untangle this most mysterious incident.

    Genesis 1:1 DE 1

In the beginning… sounds simple enough, right? But is it simple? Take a cursory reading of Genesis and everything marches on hunky dory, but the hunky and the dory end if you stop to think about what is actually being said. Scripture says the angels cheered as God laid the cornerstone of the universe in Job chapter 38. So, when did God create the angels? Genesis says that God stretched the dimension we call space-time on the second day of creation, so where was the earth created in verse 1 if there was no space-time to put it in? God created light, but not matter, yet matter comes into being. What does physics reveal about the relationship of matter and light? Was the creation of light the creation of matter and space-time itself? Genesis hides the answers to these mysteries in plain sight, but it took modern science to decode the Bible code of the creation. Tonight we will embark on a deep end episode and begin laying the foundation needed to fully understand the creation as laid out in Genesis.

    The Mysteries Surrounding Goliath SE

Tonight we will be delving into the mystery that surrounds Goliath of Gath. Who was he? What was he? Just how tall was he? And, most importantly, who killed him. Was it David, or was it Elhanan? Both are credited with his death in the Bible, so who felled the infamous giant? And what about the debate that the Bible was altered to credit David with Elhanan's feat? We will discuss that and more on this SE episode.

Episode 0 - Introducing the Bible Heresies and Orthodoxies Podcast

In this episode I introduce the Bible Heresies and Orthodoxies podcast. We discuss the Full Testament Concept of reading the Bible and begin laying the foundation of the questions we will examine. What is the nature of Christ? Not all the Church Fathers agreed on whether he was human, divine, both or something else entirely. What exactly is the Devil. Did you know, that despite what Hollywood says, the Bible says that he is not an Archangel? What does the Bible say about the Flood of Noah and its extent over the earth? What can science tell us about the nature of God's creation, and how can it illuminate the scriptures? How did the Bible take on the form it is in now? The Bible was not a monolith of sacred scriptures handed down unchanged. It changed over the centuries and there were at least 4 different versions and canons of the Old Testament at the time of Christ. Did you know that the apostles and Christ reference books as authoritative scriptures that were later rejected by the Church? All of these questions and many more will be examined as we go through the history of the Holy Bible and look at what the early church taught and compare it to what is taught in modern days. And we will look at what science, the scriptures and history can tell us about many of the dogmas and traditions the various churches proclaimed to be sacred, often in direct conflict to what the scriptures themselves said. This will be an in depth dive into the scriptures not just of the Second Testament (New Testament) but of the Septuagint, Dead Sea Scrolls, Masoretic Texts and even the Ethiopian Texts as we scour the First Testament for the connections and revelations to understanding the Second Testament. And most importantly, we will examine the scriptures themselves and hear what God has to say about how there is no Old and New, but one unified testament in two parts, and we will see what God says about the things that have caused controversy in Christianity since the first centruy, even if it shatters thousands of years of church tradition. I hope you will join me on this journey into the Word of God that will be unflinching and unapologetic, a journey into the Bible like none other.
