El Ministerio de Desarrollo Social de Nación confirmó el financiamiento de un proyecto de urbanización para seis manzanas de Villa Laza, en el marco del programa para mejorar barrios populares.  Nicolás Carrillo, referente local de la cartera, explicó que la ciudad tiene nueve barrios que están en condiciones de ingresar al programa. El dinero provendrá del impuesto a las grandes fortunas y del dólar solidario. “La pobreza tiene que ver con los ingresos pero también con las condiciones de vida. Y esta última suele estar atada a los servicios”, indicó Carrillo. “Del relevamiento que hicimos surgió que el alumbrado público es escaso, no hay veredas ni cordón cuneta y no existe equipamiento urbano”, dijo el funcionario.
