Nicolas Jaar Live a Radical Sounds Latin America. Morphine Raum, Kreuzberg, Berlin

from Viaggio a 1.5x - dal Brasile a Berlino · host Caterina Finelli

In Berlin there’s an extraordinary Festival that, since 2019, celebrates active imagination and sonic protest aimed at eroding the Eurocentric conventions that have made our world predictable, dangerous, and prone to boredom. It’s called Radical Sounds Latin America, and yesterday, thanks to an incredible tip, I was in the audience enjoying the opening night performances by Mexican poet Merma Suelo (@mermasuelo ) and the metamorphic artist Nicolas Jaar, fresh from his releases Piedras 1 & 2.In this episode, I’ll share my experience, recorded directly from Morphine Raum, home of the label Morphine Records, founded by Lebanese artist Morphosis (Rabih Beaini). It seems impossible, but the Berlin I had dreamed of rediscovering for years finally feels reincarnated here, and this time, I’ll explain you why.
