Darien Headen is the associate head of school at Greene Street Friends School, a Quaker-based school in Philadelphia whose mission it to prepare their students to be world changers and seekers of knowledge, equity, and social justice. Nicole Fisher is the Director of Auxiliary Programming. Greene Street Friends recently announced the launch of Greene Street Summer Friends, a new Early Childhood Summer Camp serving children ages 3 to 5. The program will run from June 15 through August 7, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is the first GSFS-run summer camp designed specifically for rising Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten students. Camp registration is currently open. The camp will be open to current, new, and prospective families. Children will engage in weekly themed experiences, hands-on enrichment activities, outdoor play, and age-appropriate routines that support social-emotional growth, curiosity, and continued learning throughout the summer months. The program is grounded in GSFS values and designed to feel both joyful and intentional, making it an ideal first camp experience for young learners.
