Nicole von Arx, dancer and choreographer: creativity starts outside our comfort zone

from Sounds Like Portraits · host Philippe Ungar

For Nicole, creativity starts with vulnerability, that means outside her comfort zone. When she doesn't feel vulnerable, she said: "I think there's a problem there." Since age four, she has been training and taming her body in order to memorize and perform the choreographies. It's a lot of work and then, there's a point where the music comes on, and her body moves on stage like a machine, like it knows exactly how to be. That's the magic of it on stage. But I asked her : how does the audience interact with the show?  That's the question of the week.  It's time to listen to her.
