Nicole's Story

Nicole shares her journey through addiction, sobriety and maintaining recovery while facing the challenges of life as a single mother. She experienced the divorce of her parents and faced identity challenges through her teen years. Nicole spent time in homelessness where she struggled and suffered to survive. As we spoke I recognized that with every word and gesture, she demonstrated courage and confidence. And now, after reading this description several times, I cannot believe how cool it is to have sat with her. I could not have guessed how much we had in common and how lucky we really are to be here.
