And I loved hearing the radio play down low hearing her sing "Lotta Love".Lotta Love is a song written and recorded by Neil Young and released in 1978 and was also covered by Nicolette Larson in 1978. Larson's version reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and hit No.1 on the Easy Listening Chart. That's what I loved about it. It was easy listening. In the back seat of the car with the air conditioner running, I would hear that song while taking a nap. Larson said she got the song off a tape she found lying on the floor of Neil's car. The song became hers because Neil had given it to her. To me, Lotta Love was just a simple song, but it had a lot of meaning. People were trying to have a relationship in those days just like today. People don't always see eye to eye in their relationship. A song like Lotta Love needed to be heard on the radio.I'm Gail Nobles and you're listening to Wave Talk on Classic Waves.Oldies
