Nigeria's New Poverty Data Lab

The Federal Government has launched the National Poverty Intelligence Lab — a bold, data-driven overhaul aimed at ending poverty in Nigeria once and for all. With 140 million Nigerians still living below the poverty line, this new hub seeks to replace guesswork with evidence, coordination, and accountability. Designed to centralize anti-poverty efforts and link to the One Humanitarian One Poverty Response System, the Lab will track real impact, ensure resources are used wisely, and empower decision-makers with analytics — turning poverty reduction from a political promise into a measurable, sustainable reality.
