Nigeria's Upcoming Election

Nigeria’s upcoming presidential election will be the country’s sixth since the end of military rule in May 1999. In November last year, the Independent National Electoral Commission said that a total of 73 political parties fielded candidates for the 2019 presidential election, but it is reported that the race is generally believed to be between the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president of the country of the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP’s).
