Night Lunch

from Ngā Pātaka Kōrero - Auckland Libraries · host Auckland Libraries

Episode 7 – Night Lunch Dedee chats to Liam Clune and Liam Hoffman from Dunedin duo Night Lunch about their EP Table for Two, released in August 2021. They talk about how Clune and his Dad both made diddley bows —a slide guitar style instrument also known as a zither— which Clune plays in the band. And we look at the making of their music video for the award winning single ‘House Full of Shit’. Other topics include; what it was like to record at Roundhead Studios, and one of their favourite albums, Clot by Wax Chattels. We also revisit some pre-lockdown gig memories from their first Auckland shows at Deep Dive Festival back in July. This interview was recorded on December 13, 2021 Note: there’s a few swear words in the songs on this podcast. If that’s not your thing, please tune out accordingly.
