Ninety - Ambi [Elemental Arts Premiere]

EA Review: Ninety – Ambi EP [UNTD003] As the name suggests, UNTD003’s title track, “Ambi” begins by creating late night ambience peppered with liminal sound design and sinister drones in what can best be described as a mind-melting phantasmagoria of noises. This song embodies late night minimalism with the complexity and psychedelia of some of the more experimental sides of 140. As the tune progresses, Ninety incorporates a series of increasingly spectral chord progressions. These tones are then juxtaposed by dissociative textures and tasteful grittiness in the form of a no holds barred, rhythmic onslaught. With a special attention to detail, the refined intensity of this track is akin to the feeling one gets before plummeting down the drop of a rollercoaster.
