Nintendo Directs in 2020 & What Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Means for Breath of Wild 2

It may not be The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, but it is the next best thing -- a prequel to Breath of the Wild but presented in the style of a Hyrule Warriors game. Taking place 100 years before the events of the first Breath of the Wild, players will assume control Link, Zelda, and the Guardians as you battle the army of Ganon. Does the release of the prequel give us hints as to when we can expect to see Breath of the Wild 2? Will Nintendo use Age of Calamity to heighten our interests in Breath of the Wild 2's story?  With the holiday title now known, what does this mean for Nintendo Direct presentations in 2020? There is now little need for a General Direct, but Mini and Partner Showcases remain pivotal for marketing upcoming third-party software. Will we see more of these showings in 2020?
