Nintendo Switch 2 Announcement Window

Nintendo has reaffirmed its plans to announce the successor to the Nintendo Switch, commonly referred to as the Nintendo Switch 2, within the current financial year, which ends on March 31, 2025. This confirmation was made by Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa during an online press conference, where he reiterated that there has been no change to the company's plan for the announcement. The exact date of the announcement is not specified, but it is speculated to occur after Christmas, given the timing of previous major announcements. The Switch 2 is expected to feature upgraded hardware, including improvements to RAM, CPU power, and GPU speed, as well as potentially redesigned Joy-Con controllers. There are also rumors and leaks suggesting that the console might be ready for launch in either March or April 2025, depending on Nintendo's financial performance for the current fiscal year. However, these are based on unofficial sources and should be taken with caution. Nintendo has been managing expectations carefully, avoiding any detailed revelations about the Switch 2's features or release date. Despite this, there is significant anticipation among gamers and industry observers, with some speculating about the console's potential performance and backwards compatibility. Hosted on Acast.
