Featuring founding members Jeff Hanna (lead vocals, guitar) and Jimmie Fadden (drums, harmonica, vocals), along with longtime bandmate Bob Carpenter (keys, vocals), who has been with the band since 1980, and rounded out by Jim Photoglo (bass, vocals), Jaime Hanna (guitar, vocals), and Ross Holmes (fiddle, mandolin, vocals), the Dirt Band has captivated audiences for nearly six decades.Their career began in 1966 as a jug band in Southern California, quickly rising to prominence by 1970 with their breakthrough album Uncle Charlie & His Dog Teddy, featuring the hit single "Mr. Bojangles." Over the years, they’ve made an indelible mark on American music with hits like “Fishin' In The Dark,” “Modern Day Romance,” and “Long Hard Road.” The band is also celebrated for their three Will The Circle Be Unbroken records, which featured collaborations with bluegrass, country, and folk legends such as Earl Scruggs and Doc Watson. These efforts earned the Dirt Band GRAMMY, CMA, and IBMA Awards, while their PBS special Circlin' Back! won an Emmy.In 2022, the band released Dirt Does Dylan to widespread critical acclaim, continuing their legacy of musical excellence.
