No. 161: Christine (McGuinn) Nehls

from The ButteCast with Bill Foley · host Bill Foley

If you take one thing away from this podcast, it is that it is OK to call for help. Call the Suicide and Crisis Helpline at 988 if you are in a dark place. Christine (McGuinn) Nehls lost her husband, Aaron, to suicide 15 years ago. He was only 43 years old. The couple had been together since they were 15 and married when they were 21. Aaron was a nice guy, a loving father and husband and a talented drummer. Everyone seemed to like him. That, though, was not enough for him to overcome his depression. After 15 years, Chris decided to talk about Aaron because she wants people to remember how he lived, and not how he died. She also hopes other people will listen and get the help they need.
