No. 230: Larry Hoffman

Larry Hoffman is a lifelong miner. He worked in Butte as well as various locations around North America and South America. The Lewistown native passes on his love for mining to anyone who will listen. That includes his many years leading underground mining tours. Larry, 79, is also one of the volunteers who climbs to the top of the gallows frames in Butte to install Christmas lights each year. He also makes sure the headframes include the American flag and the Irish flag for the An Ri Ra Irish Festival each August. Listen in to learn a little bit about our mining camp.
