No. 232: Paul Dennehy

Paul Dennehy was the sophomore quarterback of the 1976 NCAA Division II national champion Montana State football team. Before he played for Coach Sonny Holland at MSU, the lefty quarterback was a standout for Butte Central. He was a starter at defensive back on the 1973 State championship Maroons team. That was the school's third straight State title and fourth in five years. The next year, Dennehy took over for fellow lefty Mark Schulte under center. New head coach Bob Beers, at the time, called Dennehy the greatest athlete he ever coached.
