No 29 Kahalu'u Neighborhood Board Regular Meeting January 2026

At its January 15, 2026 meeting, the Kahalu‘u Neighborhood Board heard updates from city, state, and federal officials on new appointments (including Ocean Safety’s Chief), flood map changes affecting insurance, crime statistics, legislative proposals on agritourism and flood insurance, environmental findings on Genki Balls and illegal dumping, infrastructure concerns surrounding vandalized restrooms and bridge damage, potential homeless encampments, and a proposed shower facility at He‘eia Pier—though formal votes on several issues were deferred due to lack of quorum.
