No Countywide Tax Question For Affordable Housing; CB Pursues Vacation Rental Tax

The Gunnison Valley Regional Housing Authority will not pursue a ballot measure that would ask voters in the county if they wish to tax property to create a stream of funds for affordable housing. The Town of Crested Butte will continue to work on their ballot measure for voters in the town that will ask for a tax on vacation and short-term rentals within town limits to fund affordable housing projects.
