No Guile (Part 1)
from God’s Holy Mountain Broadcast Hosted by Evangelist Martha P. Davis
In this powerful sermon, Evangelist Martha P. Davis teaches from John 1 about Nathanael, the man Jesus praised as having “no guile.” She explains that Nathanael’s pure, sincere heart allowed him to recognize Jesus as the Son of God the moment they met, illustrating how a guileless spirit—free from deceit, trickery, and double-mindedness—opens the believer to deeper revelation from God. Evangelist Davis contrasts this purity with the many forms of guile that can corrupt the human spirit, urging Christians to be cleansed continually through the Word, to walk in holiness, and to allow the Holy Spirit to search and purify their hearts. Through rich Scripture teaching, she reminds listeners that God still calls His people to live without deceit, to follow Christ’s example, and to cultivate a heart so pure that heaven’s truths can be revealed to them, just as Jesus promised Nathanael.
