No Is Not An Answer with Tequila Connoisseur, Kat Hantas

When you look up well-rounded experience in the dictionary, you will see this week’s guest. She was born in Peru, and spent her childhood in Greece before finding home in Southern California. Professionally, once she was done studying Psychology, she took her talents to the big screen as a film producer. After not feeling her best, her Dr prescribed her Tequila (well, sort of), which later resulted in her starting her own tequila company, 21Seeds. Grab your salt and lime, this week’s guest on “The Jake Dunlap Show” is Tequila Connoisseur, Kat Hantas. As a small child, Kat lived with her mother, 2 sisters and grandparents in Greece. With no job, only speaking Spanish, and never having been to the U.S., Kat’s mother moved the family to the U.S where she got a sewing job. Kat attributes her hard work to her mother as she instilled it in Kat and her sisters. Fast forwarding to college, Kat studied Physiological Psychology/Psychobiology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Following college, she became a film producer, then left to start her own company to create their first independent film, Taking 5. Over her career, she learned the lesson that “No is not an option.” Kat took 10 years off of work to raise her family. During this time, Kat was experiencing night sweats, and feeling bad, so she went to the Dr. Her Dr. recommended that she drinks distilled spirits instead of wine, because fermented beverages become difficult to metabolize with age → the solution was tequila!
