Samuel Adams considered the Father of the Revolutionary War stated, “We have this day restored the Sovereign to whom alone men ought to be obedient. He reigns in heaven and… from the rising to the setting sun, may His kingdom come.” George Washington was offered to become king and he flatly refused. Washington stated, "It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible." According to John Adams the 4th of July, "Ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty."
