Summary

Don't schedule meetings on Monday mornings. Meetings slow people down. Part of the reason meetings annoy people is that everyone knows that they get less done themselves when they're in a meeting than they do working on their own. Meetings are necessary, and can be made quite efficient, with work. But they're still not as efficient as working individually. Combine this with people's interest in getting work done Monday morning and you come to the conclusion that the two don't mix.
