No More Excuses

from RAW Recovery Podcast · host trudgingtogether

No More Excuses At some point in recovery, we have to stop explaining why we cannot change and begin taking responsibility for what we can do today. Pages 99–103 of the Big Book remind us that sobriety must be demonstrated through considerate and helpful living. When we fall short, we repair the damage promptly. We continue walking the path of spiritual progress, place ourselves in God’s hands, and stop allowing people, places, fear, or circumstances to become excuses for returning to old behavior. The question is no longer, “What can I get out of this?” It becomes, “What can I bring to it, and where can I be most helpful?” Today we’ll talk about ending the blame, denial, delay, and excuses—and beginning to practice honesty, willingness, responsibility, faith, and action. #TheDailyTrudge #NoMoreExcuses #AlcoholicsAnonymous #BigBook #WorkingWithOthers #AARecovery #PersonalResponsibility #SpiritualFitness #TakeAction #Recovery #Sobriety
