Two employers KBUT spoke with believe the job surplus is related to a shortage of housing that tourism-sector service and retail employees can afford. It's not the first time in history a ski town was short on employees, but it's happening in Crested Butte (again) right now ahead of what is projected to be the busiest summer to this point.
