Noggin Notes and SanoMind Episode: What is EMDR Therapy?

from Noggin Notes Podcast · host Jake Wiskerchen

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), whoa that is a mouthful! Have you heard of EMDR Therapy? As a therapeutic approach, EMDR is based on several theories of psychotherapy, including concepts of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). During an EMDR session, the therapist will ask the client to recall difficult thoughts and emotions. He or she will then instruct the client to continue thinking about these traumatic thoughts or past events while having the client to move their eyes from side-to-side. It is that time again for our crossover episode from our partners SanoMind. We would like to introduce. Dr. Natalie Feinblatt, she is a licensed psychologist, specializing in Spiritually-informed addiction & trauma therapy in West LA or Online Using VSee. She will be helping us understand what is EMDR Therapy and how it could help you with your traumas. Hope you enjoy the podcast and please go ahead subscribe and give us a review of our show.
