Verhoeven Mastering by JDam Marketed by Noisj NOISJ regular Skim is back at his home base after a successful year with a string of releases all around, and he has brought along his regular collaborator JDam. “Altern Hybrid” provides a full 27 minutes of Skim’s trademark combination of tough stabs with deep atmospheres, of slicing snares with big bass sounds: “Despair and Isolation” with its badass breaks, the rocking title track or the rave-flavoured “Rockets” are on-target missiles for the crossbreed dancefloor. On the eerie “Evolve”, MC Mistary provides growling vocals, and “Parallel Consciousness” (actually a JDam original) is full on cinematic, liquid drum’n’bass, so expect a big package with a welcome variety!
