NOLAN WELLS - A Boat, a Missing Phone & a Family Demanding Answers

On July 4, 2026, 18-year-old college student and football player Nolan Xavier Wells travelled with friends to Horn Island off the Mississippi Gulf Coast. His friends later returned without him, reportedly believing he had chosen to remain on the island. Nolan was reported missing that evening, and his body was discovered near Horn Island two days later. An independent autopsy commissioned by his family listed both the cause and manner of death as undetermined, while the completed state autopsy has not yet been publicly released.In this episode of You Can’t Unhear, we reconstruct Nolan’s final known movements, examine newly released boat footage and emergency audio, explore the family’s subpoenas for social-media and location data, and explain why the case will be presented to a Mississippi grand jury.
