Nolan Wells cell phone could hold clues, family meets with district attorney amid private autopsy

Nolan Wells’ death investigation will be turned over to a grand jury once authorities finish their probe, according to the family’s attorney Ben Crump. An independent investigation will also be done on Wells’ cell phone. The 18-year-old wide receiver at Southwest Mississippi Community College went to Horn Island on July 4th with a group of friends. They say he told them he would get a ride back with someone else, but was later reported missing. His body was found on the island on July 6th.
