Genesis Ceja was born in Los Angeles, CA, transplanted to Ensenada, Baja California Mexico at the age of 12 and then moved to San Diego in 2008. Graduating with a degree in Culinary Arts in 2010, Genesis has been working in the hospitality industry ever since -from dishwasher to server, to bartender, barista, prep cook, line cook, caterer, baker, and bakery manager. Genesis moved to Wilmington, NC in June 2021 after a long drive from San Diego, CA which started in August 2020. She is planning on opening up a business called Nómada Tortillería.
