You may have heard trauma defined as Big T or Little T Trauma. While having this language to differentiate and describe your experience can be helpful, in some cases it can also be harmful (see episode on self-gaslighting) and re-traumatizing. Because women (and oftentimes men) have been deeply conditioned to discount their lived experience, oftentimes we’re carrying, experiencing, or re-experiencing traumas without even knowing it. This episode will help you give language to your experience while also helping you to question how you describe your trauma.
