What the hell is a Non-QM Loan? In this episode, Joey and Scott discuss a non-traditional way of qualifying for a home loan, because apparently, some people just can't follow the rules. A Non-QM loan is a type of mortgage that doesn't meet the government's requirements for home loans. And who needs rules anyway, am I right? These loans are for people who couldn't get a regular mortgage because they don't have a good credit score or a stable income. So, if you're one of those people who can't pay back a loan, this might be the right option for you. Of course, Non-QM loans usually come with higher interest rates and fees, because let's be real, the lenders need to make some money somehow. And if you're self-employed or have an income that's not regular, congratulations, you're a risk-taker! Non-QM loans let you borrow more money than you can afford, so you can buy a house that you don't really need. And hey, if you can't prove you can pay it back, just show them some bank statements, they'll never know the difference. Of course, with all these benefits come some risks. Non-QM loans are not backed by the government, which means they're riskier for the lender. But who cares about that, right? As long as you get your big fancy house, everything else can go to hell.
