Noninterventionism as a Constitutional Principle

The U.S. Constitution was designed as a noninterventionist document, limiting federal power through express powers and protecting self-government in families, churches, states, property, money, religion, and foreign affairs. Over time, courts and policymakers replaced this restraint with interventionism especially through welfare policy, foreign wars, monetary control, and property regulation. This shift did not begin in law but in faith: as churches reinterpreted Scripture to fit modern demands, courts did the same with the Constitution. The erosion of noninterventionism reflects a deeper religious and moral change, proving that constitutional decline follows spiritual decline.
