Noninvasive Prenatal Testing and NIPT

In noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT), a maternal blood sample provides maternal DNA as well as DNA from the pregnancy to screen prenatal chromosomal abnormalities using next-generation sequencing, or NGS.
