from Work it Out! · host Megan Meadows
We are so pumped to bring you this interview with personal trainer and knowledgeable-as-hell Asher Freeman. Asher is the trans-masculine owner of the Non Normative Body Club in Philadelphia with the goal of “creating accessible fitness spaces for those of us whose bodies and identities rebel against normative definitions of beauty and health.” Asher creates inclusive fitness spaces through personal training, workshops, and group fitness that is trans/queer/LGBTQ+ and truly body positive. We talk about navigating fatphobia and internalized fat phobia in the fitness industry, what heart health REALLY means, biking across the country and staying with generous but homophobic people, and the best ways to really help the revolution.
